Title: Electrochemical methods in service of solid-state research

Abstract:
Electrochemical methods have long been present in the research performed in our campus. After offering a short insight into the historical aspects of the local methodology, three fields will be detailed that all were investigated successfully. Two-pulse plating applied for multilayer deposition will be described shortly. Hydrogen permeation studies developed for an industrial partner will make the second part, showing also what are the criteria of innovation and why the results of this project can be rated so. The third section will present the most recent results achieved in electroplating of multi-principle element alloys, shortly outlining the possible industrial use of the technique and comparing the innovative aspects of this field with the former one.
