Monitoring of Tropical Cyclones

Monitoring the structure and dynamics of tropical cyclones can help to understand the formation and development of these natural formations [1]. The high-precision measurement of the direction and time dependence of muons allows of 3D monitoring, for which the standard methods are limited. We are developing a panoramic muon monitoring system for studying tropical cyclones. We plan to test the instruments and methodology in Japan and India.
