Title: Exploring the MOF Universe: Concepts, Applications, and New Materials from Our Lab
Date: 2025. november 25. kedd, 10 óra
Place: 1-es épület tanácsterem
Abstract:
In 2025, the Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded jointly to Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi „for the development of metal–organic frameworks” (MOFs). This presentation aims to provide a comprehensive overview of this class of materials. I will outline the historical development of MOFs, discuss their structural characteristics, key physical and chemical properties, and highlight their potential applications. In addition, I will present a summary of the various MOFs synthesized and investigated in our laboratory.
