Bíró Gábor, leader Gergely Gábor Barnaföldi (RMI) and István Rigó, leader Miklós Veres (SZFI) successfully defended his PhD thesis.

Zsigmond Benkő, leader Zoltán Somogyvári (RMI), successfully defended his PhD thesis titled "From clustering to causality analysis: application and development of signal processing methods in a neuroscience context".

It is with deepest sadness and sorrow to report that our colleague Prof. János Füzi, the head of the Neutron Spectroscopy Department, distinguished scientist of the Budapest Neutron Centre and Professor at the University of Pécs – having lost his few-weeks desperate battle with an invasive illness – passed away on 11 January 2020.
